Guillermo Mendoza Bazán

Director for Risk and Political Analysis

Mr. Mendoza Bazán is a Research and Intelligence professional, expert on strategic analysis of Regional and International Security Risks. He is skilled on recollection, administration and analysis of highly specialized information, as well as design, management and assessment of Strategic Intelligence Units.

Prior to joining Ansley, he was an independent consultant on Intelligence and Corporative Resilience.

Previously, as a senior official in charge of North America Issues at the Center for Investigation and National Security (CISEN), he was responsible for draw up the international sections of Mexico’s National Risk Plan and follow up the metrics of assessment. He managed the human sources network in North America, drafted the intelligence gathering plans and also coordinated inter–agency security groups with authorities in US and Central America.

Mr. Mendoza Bazán designed emergency protocols for National Special Security Events (massive crowds) and was in charge of the drawing and assessment of linkage strategies with U.S. politicians. He planned mentoring courses for intelligence analysts.

Before his tenure as intelligence official, Mr. Mendoza Bazán was a staffer at the North American Affairs Commission in the Mexican Senate, where among other task he was a liaison for the coordination of inter–parliamentary meetings.

He is Secretary of the Center of Analysis and Research on Security, Peace and Development, Olof Palme, a Mexican civil organization aimed at promoting security culture. He has collaborated in some books regarding Intelligence Studies, Security, US-Mexico Relations and Drugs Consumption.

He regularly participates in international seminars on Security and International Relations, such as in the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), the Center for High Naval Studies (CESNAV), the Mexican International Studies Association (AMEI) and the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESM).

He holds a B.A. in International Relations from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, and a Diploma on High Command for Security Institutions from CISEN and Spain CNI.
