Marcela Dueñas has experience in the creation and analysis of statistical databases to guide
foreign trade decision making and has worked on tariffs and customs regulations. She is also
knowledgeable in trade facilitation issues, especially Single Windows, a subject in which she
received a mention of excellence in the course developed by the Inter-American
Development Bank and the Inter-American Institute for Economic and Social Development.
Before joining Ansley, she worked at the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE) in the area
of natural gas, where she managed certain databases to study the coordination of permit
holders. She holds a degree in Economics and one in Government from Universidad
Panamericana (UP), and has also taken courses in political economy and public policy at the
University of Chicago, the London School of Economics and Political Sciences and Centro
Universitario Villanueva.
